Scobey Public Schools has an opening for a full-time K-6 OR 7-12 Special Education teacher for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. We are looking for an instructional leader who works well with student IEP plans, testing, and monitoring of students.  We also seek someone who works effectively with staff and students to provide excellent educational support and services.  Applicant must have a valid Montana Educator License with the appropriate endorsement and/or demonstrate the ability to obtain proper certification. Newly hired teachers may qualify for loan forgiveness through the Montana Quality Educator Loan Assistance program (each of our schools are listed as “impacted schools.”)

This is a 1.0 FTE position with Salary DOE.  Experienced educators are alowed 10 years teaching experience. 

We are a 4-day school week! Health insurance, free lunch and free access to all activities, and wide selection of technology (iPads, Chromebooks, computer labs) included.  Coaching opportunities are also available.

Our community is very supportive of the arts. Scobey’s community symphony, The Prairie Symphonette, practices twice weekly and puts on two concerts a year. The Dirty Shame Show, a variety show held the last weekend in June, has been in operation since 1967. Scobey is home to the Jack Reiner Big Band, which plays regional events and benefits. There are numerous hunting and fishing opportunities for the outdoorsman. The community has a movie theater and newer community swimming pool.
